Retrospective 10 years on
“RETROSPECTIVE- Textile 21 ten years on” an exhibition of textile art from the first decade of the new millennium.
Textile 21 celebrates its 10th anniversary with a retrospective exhibition at Studio Art Gallery, Warrington from Friday 6th May to Saturday 4th June.
Textile 21 is celebrating its 10th anniversary by staging its first retrospective exhibition at Studio Art Gallery. The group has exhibited all over the country but has chosen Studio Art Gallery in Warrington to hold this special exhibition. Three of its members live in Warrington and this is the first time the group has exhibited in the town.
The textile art in the exhibition will celebrate the diversity of its current and former members and will also showcase work from each year of the decade.
The exhibition will run from Friday 6th May to Saturday 4th June 2011 at Studio Art Gallery, 250 Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington, WA4 6QP. Opening Time Tuesday to Sat 11am to 5pm. Contact details - Tel:01925 444909 email:info@studioartonline.co.uk
There will be an opening reception with the artists on Thursday 5th May 7.30pm to 9pm. All work is for sale.
Textile 21 is a contemporary textile art group based in the North West whose aim is to raise the profile of textiles as an art medium. Over the past 10 years it has staged exhibitions all over the country and has been featured in national magazines. Some of its members have staged solo exhibition and been awarded prizes.
